Carpet Cleaning, Carpet Cleaner - Steam Cleaning

Professional cleaners usually use the steam cleaning method. They should first do a general clean and then tackle any stubborn spots with a spot remover. Always ensure that the cleaner you engage is correctly qualified and experienced.

Steam Cleaning

Steam or hot water extraction is the recommended method. No other method is as effective in cleaning your carpets as periodic steam cleaning or hot water extraction. We recommend steam cleaning by a professional cleaner every one to two years depending on the colour of your carpet and the amount of foot traffic in your home.

Hot water extraction uses a machine to apply water and a cleaning solution (if necessary) into the carpet pile to attack the soil and greasy build-up on the carpet fibres. A powerful vacuum then extracts the solution almost immediately. Properly performed, hot water extraction will effectively remove accumulated soil from the carpet and refresh the texture of your carpet. When performed according to AS/NZS 3733:1995 this procedure remains our primary recommendation for STAINMASTER® carpet.

Tip

It's important to use a reputable company to steam clean your carpet. Where possible, always use a company that has been recommended to you by a reliable source.
