History of Stainmaster®
Launched in 1987, INVISTA Certified Stainmaster® Carpet revolutionised the Australian carpet industry as the first stain resistant
carpet available to home decorators around the country. Backed by a comprehensive five-year stain resistance warranty, Stainmaster®
enabled consumers to decorate using light coloured carpet with confidence.
A multi-million dollar marketing campaign launched the brand, using contemporary Australian artist Pro Hart, making it the most recognised
carpet brand in Australia today.
In 1999, INVISTA developed new technology to improve the stain and soil resistance properties of the Stainmaster® Carpet. In May of
that year, INVISTA Certified Stainmaster® Carpet with Repel was launched carrying a new level of stain protection know as Repel.
This exciting development resulted in even higher performance standards and was supported by more comprehensive warranties. The stain
resistance warranty was increased from five to seven years and for the first time, INVISTA offered a seven-year soil resistance warranty.
INVISTA Certified Stainmaster® Carpet with Repel comes in over 200 colours and styles and remains the leader stain resistance, performance
and beauty.
