Carpet Stain Removal Guide
Find a Stain
Oh no! There's been an
'accident' on the carpet. But don't worry, with some quick action your Stainmaster®
Carpet will come up spotless time and time again. Here's how to tackle some
of the more common types of stain or spills.
Select
a stain from the following list to find the appropriate cleaning actions.
Note: *These substances can
affect or damage the actual colour of the carpet. While you may try to remove
the stain as described here, INVISTA recommends consulting a professional carpet
cleaner. Some disinfectants, fungicides, insecticides and pesticides may harm
carpet stain resistance. For information call the Stainmaster® Carpet Service
Centre on freecall 1800 335 624 (Australia) or 0800
468 420 (New Zealand).
Stainmaster® Carpet is designed for residential use to resist most common household food and
beverage stains. Extremely hot liquids, strong chemicals or dyes may cause discolouration, and are not covered under warranty. You should
also be aware that unusually stubborn stains may require a spot remover or professional cleaning. There can be some loss of stain resistance
in areas of particularly high wear such as stairs and as a result, these areas are not covered under warranty.
General Stain Removal
Regardless of the source, any spill should be cleaned up immediately
as the longer it sits, the more difficult it may be to remove.
